Preserved flowers are real flowers treated to maintain their beauty for months or even years, and in this once-a-month, 2-hour session, you’ll arrange your own bowl using a hand-picked selection of preserved flowers Singapore’s studios have come to love. Come with curiosity and leave with something you’ll be proud of! Our collection of preserved flowers are all treated to be long-lasting, and can retain their colour and shape for years with proper care. What’s Included: Everything is prepared for you before the session begins, so you can focus entirely on the making. Here’s what you’ll have to work with on the day: - A flower bowl to arrange and decorate - A wide variety of preserved flowers to choose from, including preserved roses, wildflowers, hydrangeas and more - Mosses and other decorative elements - Tools for arranging and styling your bowl - Expert guidance from our instructors throughout the session How the Session Will Go: The workshop runs for 2 hours and covers everything from understanding your materials to putting the finishing touches on your arrangement. 1. Your instructor walks you through the difference between fresh flowers, dried flowers, and preserved flowers, and what makes preserved blooms special. 2. You’ll pick your flowers and mosses from a curated selection of quality blooms available on the day. 3. Learn how to prepare and trim your flowers before arrangement begins. 4. Arrange your preserved flowers and mosses into your bowl, with your instructor on hand for guidance and tips throughout. 5. Style and adjust your preserved arrangement until you’re happy with the final look. 6. Your instructor shares care tips for your finished bowl before you wrap up and head home. Caring for Your Preserved Flower Bowl: With the right conditions, your preserved flowers can last for a year or more, and the upkeep is minimal. - Avoid direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure can cause the colours to fade. - Avoid placing it in humid areas like bathrooms or near open windows, as heat and humidity affect how well preserved blooms hold up. - Dust the flowers gently with a soft brush every now and then to keep them looking fresh. - Do not water the arrangement, as preserved flowers do not need moisture at all. - Handle the delicate blooms with care, as the preservation process makes petals more fragile than fresh flowers.
